Rane, once again, took over thirty years of providing accessible bathing options for the healthcare field and created this innovative residential bathtub with its additional safety measures of a built-in transfer ledge and lowered rim. Unique Features of the Hudson Easy-Access Bathtub
At first glance, the Hudson appears as a luxurious custom-designed bathtub which will definitely upgrade the look of your bathroom. Yet, instead of stepping over the rim into the tub, there is built in comfortable seating or transfer ledge so the bather can sit down, then swing legs over a lowered rim section to enter and exit the tub safely. Rane has built in their “no trips, slips or falls” goal into this elegant bathtub. You can still enjoy the luxury of laying in a full tub of water with the added safety measures of the seating and lowered leg lift area. The Hudson would be a good choice for the die-hard bather who cannot lift their legs safely to enter or exit the tub. The tub is entered from a safer seated position instead of standing. The bather still needs to be able to pull or lower oneself into the tub with the added safety of possible grab bars. The Hudson comes as the tub shell only without the wall surround.
